
Verlinda Henning, SPHR, SHRM-SCP is a graduate of Memphis State University/The University of Memphis, holding the BBA, MBA and MALS degrees. She began her career in Human Resources at MLGW, advancing from Personnel Assistant to Senior HR Generalist, responsible for supporting the entire executive staff and their HR needs. Upon retirement, she founded her own consulting firm, FaithPeople Memphis, which offers comprehensive human resources and management consulting services to small businesses, with a concentration in the faith-based community. Most recently, Henning worked as part of the team that enabled the University of Memphis to receive one of the largest grants in their history, designed to address helping TANF (Tennessee Assistance for Needy Families) clients to reenter the workforce.
Verlinda served as President of SHRM-Memphis, the local professional chapter for human resources professionals in the greater Memphis area, and currently serves on the board of directors for MILE (the Memphis Institute for Leadership Education) at the University of Memphis.
