Subject: Proactive Forensic Intelligence Gathering and Handling

Fraud, cyber breaches, employee misconduct, diversity and inclusion issues, theft of intellectual property, and other disputes are a constant threat to the organization, with impacts from financial and legal to reputational. Your organization’s data contains a wealth of information that can assist investigators in proactively identifying potential risks before they flare up or during an actual event. “Forensic Intelligence” includes electronically stored information such as computers, servers, cloud as well as email and social media monitoring, data mining, and evidence preservation policies, procedures, and practices that govern an investigation.

Participants of this presentation will:
1. Learn how proper evidence handling and preservation are critical to the process.
2. Identify key evidence sources available in various investigation types.
3. Understand forensic intelligence gathering and how it helps identify fraud and risk both proactively and during an investigation.
4. Explore how email analytics including emotion detection can identify risks such as corruption, diversity and inclusion issues, harassment, and theft of trade secrets.
5. Identify how forensic data mining can search for patterns indicative of fraud in financial data.
6. Discover how simple but powerful offboarding policies and techniques will help defend the organization against future risks.
7. Evaluate the role of artificial intelligence and automation in the intelligence gathering and analysis process.
