Daniel is a Special Agent National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) and have been so employed since April 8, 2019. As a Special Agent with NICB, I serve as a liaison between and among law enforcement agencies and insurance companies to expedite insurance fraud and theft investigations. I also conduct training for law enforcement and member companies pertaining to auto theft and insurance fraud investigations.

 

Employed with the State of Tennessee since September 20, 1987. Retired April 2019. (32 years)

 

Tennessee Department of Safety Motor Vehicle Enforcement Officer, 1987 -1989:

Assigned to the Haywood County Scales and worked the interstate and state roads enforcing commercial vehicle state laws.

 

Tennessee Department of Safety Criminal Investigation Division, 1989-1996:

Assigned to the Narcotics Undercover Unit worked street level to federal narcotic cases. Also did undercover work buying stolen vehicles, vehicle parts and other stolen property. Assigned to the DEA in Memphis for 18 months. Worked other criminal and background investigations with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.

 

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, 1996-2003:

As a special agent assigned to the Drug Investigation Division in the Jackson and Memphis, Tennessee West Region, I was assigned to work all areas in West Tennessee, and I consistently worked with Drug Enforcement Administration, Local Sheriff’s Departments and Police Departments identifying major narcotics violators and other criminals which led to overt and covert investigations for state and federal prosecution. I have also worked other Criminal Investigations including Homicides, Fraud, and Political Corruption.

 

Tennessee Department of Safety Homeland Security

Tennessee Highway Patrol Criminal Investigation Division 2003-2019:

As a special agent/sergeant with the Criminal Investigation Division, I have worked auto theft, fraud, and other criminal cases with local, state, and federal agencies. I have also been responsible for the investigation and prosecution of Major Auto Theft cases as well as Cargo Theft Investigations. Since 2010, I have been assigned to the Federal Bureau of Investigations Memphis Cargo Theft Task Force, working with federal agents to investigate nationwide cargo theft rings and major criminal enterprises. I was also a Task Force Officer (TFO) with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. I was also tasked with criminal, internal, and background investigations for the Department and answering calls of service to assist the road Troopers with criminal and traffic investigations.
