The Position
We are seeking the Senior Equity Specialist (Sr. Investigator) in the Office for Institutional Equity to join our university. This position is open until filled.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assures proper handling of reported discrimination, harassment and sexual harassment complaints in accord with the corresponding policies/procedures. Review and edit investigative reports for content, accuracy, grammar, bias and analysis. Receives and conducts informal resolutions and formal investigations of complaints against students, faculty and staff in accordance with the UofM’s Interim Sexual Harassment and Sexual/Gender-Based Misconduct Policy and Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy.
Successful candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of experience conducting equitable and thorough investigations regarding sexual harassment (Title IX), harassment and discrimination allegations, Human Resources or other related capacity or a Master’s or JD degree and two (2) years of experience conducting equitable and thorough investigations regarding sexual harassment (Title IX), harassment and discrimination allegations, Human Resources or other related capacity. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience writing investigative reports related to sexual harassment, harassment and discrimination or related investigations. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Master’s or JD desired.

Compensation for this position is $65,000 - $68,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
