Bio: Verlinda is a graduate of The University of Memphis, holding the BBA, MBA and MALS degrees. She began her career in Human Resources at MLGW, advancing from Personnel Assistant to Senior HR Generalist, responsible for supporting the entire executive staff and their HR needs. Upon retirement, she founded her own consulting firm, FaithPeople Memphis, which offers comprehensive human resources and management consulting services to small businesses, with a concentration in the faith-based community. Most recently, Henning worked as part of the team that enabled the University of Memphis to receive one of the largest grants in their history, designed to address helping TANF (Tennessee Assistance for Needy Families) clients to reenter the workforce.

Verlinda served as President of SHRM-Memphis, the local professional chapter for human resources professionals in the greater Memphis area, and currently serves on the board of directors for MILE (the Memphis Institute for Leadership Education) at the University of Memphis.

An opportunity available for networking from 11:30 am to the start of the presentation.

In person limited to 22 to 24 people.  In person registration closes on Monday evening at 8:00 pm.

Virtual registration closes on Tuesday at 8:00 pm.


For in-person attendees, we can order an optional boxed lunch from Holiday Ham for an additional $10, or you can bring your own. Please complete the menu during registration.

  • Protein options: smoked ham, smoked turkey, chicken salad, tuna salad, or pimento cheese.
Bottle water will be provided.

Webinar meeting link will be sent via email from Prolaera by 11:00am on the day of the webinar.

There will be four polling questions during the webinar, and three must be completed in order to obtain CPE.

Payment by PayPal during registration preferred.
